Takadachiたかだちぎけいどう

The Place Where Japanese Historical Hero Minamoto no Yoshitsune Died.

Takadachi, also called Hangandate, is a hill to the east of Chūson-ji Temple. Gikeidō Hall stands on Takadachi, which is said to be the place of Minamoto no Yoshitsune's death. From this place, where Yoshitsune's faithful retainer Benkei made his last stand, you can see the Koromo River and the Kitakami River flowing gently below.
